Job Description:Offering an opportunity for a highly organized Senior Interior Designer to bring their well trained eye, positive management skills and strong hospitality project experience. Leads the design department and interior design aesthetic for Boyne Resorts, the second largest privately owned ski and resort company in North America.
Develops relationships with and manages professional interior design companies for large projects across our network of resorts in the United States and Canada.

Must have the necessary skills to carry smaller internal projects to completion.
Office location is in Petoskey, Michigan. Travel within the US and/or Canada will be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Developing strategic partnerships with interior design firms for the hospitality industry

Researching the right fit between ID firms and larger scope projects

Evaluate, select and manage multiple design teams in a self-directed manner on all aspects of the interior design process within established budget, schedule, site and programmatic requirements

Develop and oversee smaller interior design projects within the company including vision, layout, budget, schedule and specifications

Provide structured and effective leadership to maintain a positive studio environment

Manage the interior design department and studio working with an assistant interior designer, project manager/procurement, rental management program coordinator and studio assistant

Develop project overviews and standards for multiple large condominium hotel projects and resort developments

Establish standards in hotel room design, FFE and appointments

Attend industry related events, seminars, workshops, tradeshows with specific goals and agendas and report to team and company management where applicable

Reports directly to senior management and contributes to the general direction of the aesthetic of the resorts using the brand strategy and architecture as guide

Preferred Education:

Education equivalent to possession of a Bachelor's degree in interior design from accredited institution NCIDQ Certified Interior Designer that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described.

At least five years managing a design team and design firms for the hospitality industry and at least 10 plus years designing for the hospitality industry.

Strong leadership and consensus building skills; Strategic planning experience; a proven track record in developing and administering design projects and brand management.
